Melissa Pouw is in her 12th year as an administrator in Ontario, Canada, leading her fourth school community having a total of 22 years in education. She has facilitated Math workshops for administrators, been a recurring guest presenter for new principal candidates, has published articles for Principal Connections, a publication for administrators and continues to be a mentor for new to role principals.
Melissa embodies the belief that a good administrator is a teacher first – always. She continues to push the boundaries of engagement and innovation in instructional practice. She mentors and models for her staff, pushing her own understanding of educational pedagogy and constantly evolving to effectively motivate and promote the voices of all.
